New Investigators

Welcome to the New Investigator Group!

Through this group you will be able to interact with other "new" investigators - those of you who are applying for your first NIH grant. This can be the early investigator who is applying for that first K award, a K award apprentice seeking that first R01 (or R03), or the seasoned businessman applying for that first SBIR grant. Let HealthProposal.net keep you in contact with your mentors and others in the field while you navigate the complex world of NIH grants.

Join a forum or create your own blog! It's that simple!

NIH Policies for New Investigators

The NIH has section of its website devoted entirely to New Investigators. The NIH has several grant mechanisms for new investigators, including mentoring awards (K), training and fellowship awards (T and F) and Pathway to Independence awards. All of these are designed to bridge the gap between postdoctoral experiences and becoming an independent scientist.

New Investigators

I already have my own blog that deals with many interesting "investigation" related issues. I have been one of those famous "New York investigators" during '70s-'80s and today I'm totally retired from this. What interests me know is science, internet, new technologies and many other aspects that people use today in order to solve their physiological and mental necessities. Your "New Investigators" site is quite interesting. I'll definitely give it a try.
