Research Assistant
Description: Clinical Tools has 12 staff in our Chapel Hill office, working on a variety of research and education projects funded through the National Institutes of Health. We are looking for 1 - 3 people to assist with a variety of research tasks associated with an online NIH-funded research study. They will send emails, maintain records, conduct literature reviews, conduct data analysis/writing, as well as associated tasks. There is a part-time position for the school year. Great for graduate students interested in research experience or those considering medical school or graduate school. Opportunity to assist with writing for presentations at conferences or for journals possible.
Location:Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Time Requirements: Part-time. 10 - 20 hours per week; flexible.
Salary:$12 - 15/hour depending on experience
Position Requirements and Skills:
- Interest in medical education & education research w/adult learners a plus
- Interest in substance abuse treatment or seniors a plus
- Some experience with web research
- Attention to detail
- Strong computer and Internet skills
- Strong communication skills, including fluent, grammatically correct oral and written English.
- Some undergraduate level training/course work relevant to the position.

Work Environment:
- The Chapel Hill office is open between 7:00AM and 6:00PM. Work scheduling is flexible.
